Fairy Tale: A True Story (1997) A charming film with Peter O'Toole as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The action takes place during World War One, when Doyle championed the photographs of fairies made by two English girls. Although the movie bills itself as "A True Story," it soft-pedals the real story -- when they were elderly women, the girls finally confessed it was all a youthful hoax! VHS only. Beyond Light and Shadow : The Role of Photography in Certain Paranormal Phenomena : An Historical Survey.  by Rolf H. Krauss. Nazraeli Press (1996.) Covers Kirlian Photography, "Thoughtography" and Spirit Photography, as well as the infamous photographs of fairies (see above.)
